Norbert was pretty spot on in his review. Shady practices, even made a simple addition error in the calculating of my cleaning fees that I made them aware of but made no effort to acknowledge it. Charged me for the re-keying fee as well that I did not know was illegal until now. Only upside was my apartment was in a good location for the price.

Out of the (4) years that I spent in Athens, almost (2) of them were as a tenant for Ivey and Co. The other (2) years I spent living in Bell and MAA properties in Athens.

The property that we rented managed by Ivey and Co. was an older home, as most are in the "Classic City". My interaction with Ivey and Co occurred at move in, lease renewal and lease termination (due to a Job Relocation). Outside of this, everything that occurred with the home was in our control of addressing (general maintenance and preventative maintenance items).

Move In: As with any property new or old, there are issues that need to be addressed. The individuals sent by Ivey and Co were quite professional and together we were able to get the issues address very quickly.

Lease Renewal: Team was very professional, Rent did not increase a dime (rarity for renting in the "Classic City").

Lease Termination: Due to the location of the property, Ivey and Co. was able to rent it out pretty quick. Ivey and Co. unlike others in the area, did not add excessive fees to the move out. It went off without a hitch and the security deposit was promptly mailed after the new tenant was found.

As someone who has rented over the past 7 years, with four different companies, Ivey and Co. was one of the best. The property that we rented wasn't perfect, we did have get a few items up to speed in order to maintain them, but afterwards we felt at home in the property that we rented from them. My families time spent there will always be a cherished one.
