The Falls Restaurant at 8851 Macon Highway, Athens, Georgia.

We had the salmon and the trout and a side of asparagus. The fish was good. Presentation of the trout was 'interesting'. The asparagus had spent too long in its ice bath after cooking and was served with some cold and some warm but it was tasty. Other than the food, the night mostly was disappointing. I had asked for a seat by the windows. We were not seated there. We inquired and were told the table for two was 'reserved'. Then they called to say I had missed my reservation -- it had probably been reserved by us since it stayed empty. So...not very good on reservations check-in. The noise level was close to painful-- needs an acoustic engineer. The chairs were 1" too short, maybe 2". Service was pleasant but slow. That was fine since we had a lot to talk about. My daughter says it's a good 'first date restaurant' if you want to see how a first date handles difficult food presentations and service faults. I gave it a 2 but my daughter thinks 3.5, so...3 stars.
